Paul McLoughlin writes about his solemn promise made on Sunday, 14 October 2012, in Ennismore, Cork:

My solemn promise took place on the 14th of October, at 7 pm during Mass at Ennismore Retreat Centre in Cork which is where our chapter is based. Our chapter is named after St. Catherine of Siena. Our Spiritual Promoter (who presided at my profession) is Fr. Ben Hegarty OP. Our president is Mary Foley. Most of the chapter members were in attendance. It was a beautiful occasion, the Mass was lovely and it was followed by a few refreshments enjoyed by all together with a good chat.
In our chapter, it is still the custom to take a name of a Dominican patron saint when you make your solemn promise. I have taken the name 'Pier Giorgio' after Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassatti who is an amazing example for me and a great inspiration.
